Ubi Gets Rocky
May 15, 2002
Ubi Soft has announced a deal with Rage Software
to publish games based on the Rocky movies. Rocky will be
available on all next generation consoles this fall.
"Rocky is the kind of license that will attract
fans of the movie as well as sports buffs," said Jay Cohen,
vice president of publishing for Ubi Soft Entertainment.
"We are delighted to have partnered with Ubi
Soft for the release of Rocky as the title is one of our most
important games due for release this year," said Paul Finnegan,
CEO at Rage. "We believed that it was essential to have a
major partner in place who could maximize the title within
the US marketplace and have every confidence that the game
can become a major seller across all console formats this
fall."
The game will be shown at the Rage booth at
E3 next week.
