LUCASARTS, EA WORLDWIDE
September 18, 2000

LucasArts Entertainment Company today announced distribution and publishing arrangements with Electronic Arts in Germany, Australia, Asia Pacific, and Brazil. The terms of each deal grant EA the rights to distribute some future PC and console titles from LucasArts in each territory, and the rights to publish select titles in Asia Pacific and Brazil. The companies already have affiliations in Spain and Japan.

LucasArts' current partner in Germany, Softgold Computerspiele GmbH, will retain a portion of the company's business by publishing and distributing several new Nintendo Game Boy and GBA titles. LucasArts' current partners in Germany and Brazil will continue to distribute and publish the company's classic products.

"These new partnerships reflect a further refining of LucasArts' long term international business objectives," said Simon Jeffery, president of LucasArts. "Electronic Arts' solid expertise in distribution within each of these territories will result in a greater overall efficiency for LucasArts. With the two companies sharing compatible goals, we look forward to continuing a strong and successful partnership."

"LucasArts has a long-standing reputation for developing high quality and incredibly creative properties," said Electronic Arts President John Riccitiello. "We look forward to bringing these premier games to territories throughout the world. The agreement promises to be a win for both companies as well as consumers."
