UK DOLPHIN DEV KITS
February 4, 2000
Dolphin development kits will reportedly be
delivered to third party developers in the UK in early March.
The news will come as a great encouragement to Nintendo fans
hankering desperately for the machine.
According to a company spokesperson, Nintendo
still aims to release the system this year. Of course, this
means that UK developers have no prayer of making the European
launch if Nintendo really does release the system this year
(as those developers would only have a bit over a year to
prepare).
A large announcement regarding the console is
expected from Japan in the near future (though one was expected
in the recent past as well). No one knows the exact date for
the news (and no one's wagering any guesses any more either).
Very few games have actually been confirmed
for the machine at the moment, with the only solid news being
on a Mario title (almost assuredly at launch) from Shigeru
Miyamoto. We'll have more as the situation develops.
