NINTENDO ISSUES GLOVES
March 9, 2000

Even if you've played the game (and complained about it), you probably didn't see this coming, but Nintendo's taken an unprecedented step at protecting its customers' interests.

Due to reported cuts, blisters, and other hand injuries resulting from Mario Party, Nintendo has agreed to distribute protective gloves to owners of the game. Though only 90 reports have been filed, Nintendo has agreed to dedicate up to $80 million to give each family with Mario Party up to 4 sets of the gloves.

The company mentioned that there were no serious injuries reported, and it appears as though they hope this will help to prevent any from happening. It will also provide instructions how to properly use the joystick (as most of the problems occurred from using the palm of the hand to rotate the joystick).
