November 27, 2000
THQ and Nickelodeon announced an extension of
the Rugrats: Totally Angelica product line with a game for
the PlayStation, developed for ART Co. and set for a spring
release.
"The number of girl gamers is increasing with
the broadening of the PlayStation demographic," stated Alison
Locke, executive vice president, North American Publishing,
THQ. "Angelica Pickles, the tempestuous Rugrats character
millions of kids adore, is the perfect lead for a PlayStation
game girls will want to play over and over again."
"The success of 'Rugrats: Totally Angelica'
for Game Boy Color signifies the demand for more girl-specific
interactive adventures," stated Stephen Youngwood, vice president,
Nickelodeon Publishing and Interactive. " The PlayStation
game will give girls a whole new way to interact with Angelica
Pickles."
Rugrats: Totally Angelica features Angelica
Pickles as the star of her own dress-up fantasy. In the game,
players will assume the role of Angelica and collect dress-up
items such as accessories, wigs, clothes, and shoes for the
Fashion Shows.
Rugrats fans can also look forward to interacting
with other members of the Rugrats gang including Chuckie,
Phil, and Lil.
