X-BOX CONFIRMED?
February 25, 2000
Seems Microsoft has fallen prey to the internet age in its
attempt to deny the existence of the X-Box. Granted, few people
believed them that it was just a rumor before, but even fewer
will believe them now.
Microsoft Corp. reserved the xbox.com domain yesterday, an
obvious attempt to eventually form an official internet presence
for the system in the future. In doing so, the company has
now effectively connected itself to the name X-Box. What company
would buy a domain for a product that "doesn't exist"?
As mentioned recently, it's expected that Bill Gates will
discuss the system next month (more).
However, based on the aforementioned information, the system
is as good as confirmed.
What's VGF doing in preparation for the upcoming flood information
that's likely to ensue about X-Box? Let's just say the Available
Domains page has been updated.
