GAMESTOCK XBOX
March 13, 2001

Microsoft's developers showcased the company's lineup of Xbox and PC games due to be released later this year at Gamestock 2001.

"At this year's Gamestock, the industry's top game artists reveal how they are taking video console and PC gaming to new creative heights and broadening the enthusiasm for gaming to even larger audiences around the world," said Ed Fries, vice president of games publishing at Microsoft. "The Microsoft-published games featured today build on a core of great gameplay by adding a strong story and great characters and by trying to reach our audience on an emotional level as well as an intellectual one."

Microsoft also announced that Bizarre Creations has joined the 24 other design studios agreeing to create exclusive games for the Xbox. Bizarre is best known for its Formula 1 games.

"We are delighted to welcome Bizarre to the Xbox family," Fries said. "They love to push the bounds of what's possible in video gaming, which makes them a perfect fit for Xbox."

The following Xbox games were demonstrated at the show (click the link for more info and screens):
