New Player's Choice Titles

Nintendo has added five new titles to it's Player's Choice lineup. Nintendo Player's Choice games are titles that have sold well since their release, and will now retail for only $29.99.

So which titles have been added? Glad you asked. Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2: Rogue Leader, Agent Under Fire, Spider-Man, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and Resident Evil have all joined Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The changes should be immediate, but be sure to check your retailer. While it will take a while for the updated box art to reach stores, retailers have "Player's Choice" stickers that they can put on the titles denoting their new status.

Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2: Rogue Leader is now being sold for less? Big deal, anyone who has a GC has bought Star Wars by now! And same goes for RE.
Agent Under Fire, has been out on PS2 for quite some time now.
Spider-Man, PS2 and X-Box titles for a long time.
Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Smash Bros. Melee are all cheap now? Yeah right. How can Nintendo sell them for $60 at first, then afford to drop them down to $30? Nintendo would still be making a killing on those games if people didn't already own them.

I think it's ridiculous how Nintendo's not selling at $20...

Um...yeah. And they've also been out on Gamecube for quite some time now. What's your point?

I think a large part of the reasoning behind Player's Choice titles is that so many people have bought them already. By lowering the price they won't lose a lot of revenue because a lot of people have already bought the games, but it will be enough of a price drop to entice other people(who wouldn't have bought the games otherwise, or were waiting for a price cut) to buy them.
