Triforce Heroes is just goofy fun. It's not meant to be taken seriously. It's just a fun multiplayer Zelda game. I love it.

I loved PH, for the record. My only criticism is how it ended, which
was a total rip from the last page of Link's Awakening.
I've been slowly making my way through TFH on my own, and I've been enjoying it. The structure of the game definitely lends itself to being "not a core Zelda game" though, for a few reasons.

Spirit Tracks would be pwning the **** out of Phantom Hourglass right now if I didn't have to blow into the mic so damn much. Whose idea was that?

This is actually what turned me off from the game. It's that bad.

The thing is, everything else I'm enjoying a lot so far. It's just that one, stupid thing that's bothering me. I'm not sure if I'd consider it worse than the the Temple of the Ocean King yet, but let's see if it becomes more tolerable as the game goes on like the Temple did.

I think it had way bigger issues beyond that. The WW trilogy deserved a better sendoff.

My issue with Spirit Tracks is that the first 2/3rds of the game felt like babby's first Zelda. The last 1/3 is utterly amazing when finally they take the dang training wheels off of your Master Cycle, but by then all the interesting plot has been spent.

Riding a train made me miss sailing on the Great Sea, you have no idea.

Yeah, it's like someone said "how can we make a restricted and monotonous version of sailing" and we got ST.

Sailing was already monotonous and restricted though

The freedom to stop and play a song whenever you wanted to change directions, while simultaneously ignoring hordes of enemies because your only mode of interaction is a cannon that stops movement completely

Unless you have ADHD you shouldn't need to change the wind too much, and while combat got old fast that's the case for all Zelda games. The exploration was still fun.

Generally, the Wind Waker didn't get in the way of sailing. However, when you were trying to find that bloody Manfish around each of the islands, it could be a little troublesome if you had to fight the wind in order to get to him. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't The Best Feature Ever Implemented In Zelda™. (See also The Command Melody, otherwise known as Another Terrible Idea©.)

But then again, this is also why they fixed it with the Swift Sail in Wind Waker 3D. Hindsight 20/20 and all.

I liked the trains in Spirit Tracks. I liked tooting the horn for no reason and having the cute gold dolphins jump around my train. I thought it was cute and fun, and I enjoyed it more than PH sailing (NOT more than WW sailing) because PH sailing felt really multitask-y with the drawing and redrawing routes while also pushing buttons and ****.
I believe in second chances, and that's why I believe in you.

Zelda is a game that does what it does well

:highfive: [DOUBLEPOST=1485916171,1485916073][/DOUBLEPOST]
^ You're clearly not a real fan™.
I was tempted to change my profile picture to a fan with the words "a real fan (tm)" in red over the top

You're lucky I'm too lazy
