Tomb Raider really surprised me, it's one of the few AAA games that actually seemed to "get it" and know what a game needs to do to be fun and engaging, and not just an action movie where you run around shootin' dudes.
I'm currently playing Spec Ops: The Line. It's... not very fun so far, it just feels like a generic military third-person shooter. I'm sticking with it though cause apparently the first chunk of the game is a deliberate set up for the game to pull the rug out from under you in some cathartic way. I guess we'll see.

I finished Spec Ops: The Line, and WOW did it take a turn. This isn't the formulaic military shooter the cover makes you think you've signed up for. It's purposefully not fun, it makes you question your motives as you play...not the main character's motives, YOURS, as a gamer. It practically turns to the camera and points its finger at you, questions the "fun" you're having, how pathetic this fantasy of yours is. It's unlike any game I've played before, I'd really recommend it if you have the patience. It's a slow build-up but definitely worth sticking with.
Right now I've really gotten back into Titanfall for some reason, and I've been dabbling in some Fallout 3 here and there before the next one comes out.

Just been playing lots and lots of Elder Sxrolls Online. Mostly all I've been playing lately as a matter of fact.

Started a new playthrough of 'Minecraft Story Mode'. Making headway in 'Cuphead' and 'Party Hard'. Trying out everything in 'Rare Replay'.

Pretty fun. They actially listen to the players when it comes to updates and patches. (A good example is recently they added in item storage for houses and the ability to change armor style on individual pieces freely without having to craft a new piece which are things people have asked for alot) Even though it's fairly different, it feels, to me, like an Elder Scrolls game. Like the world and the lorw and interesting characters and locales are all there. The music is fantastic too. There's also alot of fun easter eggs and jokes like any tes game (like a male argonian stripper named flicks-his-tongue) and the PvP amd crafting can be very fun. The main PvP is in Cyrodil and involves huge numbers of players from each faction fighting over different parts of the map and siegibg forts and all. Is pretty fun. The subscription gives you a reasonable amount to though I'd only say get it if you really like the game. It gives you access to all expansions (except the morrowind one which is dumb but eh) and gives you a "refund" in premium currency every mo th along with a bag specifically for crafting items and some slight exp and money buffs.
