Netherlands 2-1 Mexico

Mexico was dominant for the first 60-odd minutes, but then the Netherlands came back with two goals in the last 15 minutes, including a penalty at 93'. Hopefully Costa Rica can get revenge.

Off topic, but Bolt, you play Ultimate? That's so cool! I took an Ultimate class as my PE for university. So fun <3[/QUOTE]I should really stop given my history of leg injuries, but I can't help myself.

Yeah...The Netherlands are my #2 but that was a lame way to win.

Costa Rica (5) 1-1 Greece (3)

THEY DID IT AGAIN. Despite going down to 10 after 66 minutes and conceding an equalizer at 91', Costa Rica holds on to win in penalties and advance to the quarterfinals for the first time ever.

CONCACAF is my least favorite acronym ever. And that's saying something, given the number of terrible acronyms in my field.

Argentina 1-0 Switzerland

Argentina's scored at 118', and then Switzerland hit the post at 120' and the wall on a free kick from 18 yards at 125'. Switzerland nearly topped their earlier last minute victory, but in the end the undefeated run of group winners continues.

I'm a Yankees fan so I usually don't respond this way to losses, but...

I am so proud of this team. They surpassed expectations and turned heads on the global stage. And they didn't go quietly...because FREEDOM NEVER DOES.

But seriously, 2-1 makes it look a lot closer than it felt. Tim Howard's to thank for that.

Belgium 2-1 USA

A truly amazing performance from Howard and a very late goal aren't enough in the end. That's the way to go out if you're going to do it, though.

And to be totally honest, losing to Belgium isn't the worst result in the world as a Chelsea fan. Go Hazard and Courtois! (also Costa Rica, but that'll suck to choose between if it happens)

Tim Howard is my hero. Holy **** that was incredible.

Disappointed USA couldn't get the win but Belgium deserved it.

Go Germany.
