Argentina's goal was at 91', and Iran had several chances that could've won it. No one is content to just let Costa Rica be the greatest upset.

US advances even with two draws, so we may see a more defensive strategy.

Nigeria 1-0 Bosnia-Herzegovina

Bosnia is eliminated after what was apparently a fair goal was disallowed for being off sides. Nigeria's goal probably should have been disallowed because of a foul immediately before. The fault was largely with the linemen this time.

Belgium 1-0 Russia.

Belgium goes through after a worryingly tense match. The winning goal didn't come until 88'.

**** **** ****. Heartbreaking. God dammit.

I blame Bradley for causing the final blow. Also 5 minutes stoppage time? Wtf was that?

That being said, we played a lot better than we did against Ghana. If we keep that up we should be able to get the tie. I hope. Knock on wood.

Australia 0-3 Spain

Spain starts Villa, Villa scores. Much too late to matter, unfortunately.

Netherlands 2-0 Chile

Chile only managed one shot on goal despite having nearly two third possession.

Cameroon 1-4 Brazil

This was very one-sided.

Croatia 1-3 Mexico

All the scoring was in the second half. I didn't see any of this game.

Uruguay moves on over Italy 1-0.

Though Luis Suarez apparently bit Giorgio Chiellini. This is not the first time he has been accused of doing this.

Costa Rica and England tie 0-0 in a game that didn't matter anyway.

Suarez is a madman.

Poor England, couldn't even go out with some consolation like Spain did. They certainly are the Mets of soccer.
