I don't think I've watched the Olympics much since the early '90s. Great thing and all, but it's not my sort of television any more. Then again, I don't really watch much TV anymore. :p

Yulia Lipnitskaya scored a 72.9 in the short program and a 141.51 in the long program? Oh, that's nice.

Get a 78.50 and a 150.06 and then we'll talk.

I am most looking forward to the usual Olympics-sanctioned property theft and oppression of locals. Nationalistic dick-waving is also a must.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

Hockey games are pretty entertaining. Canada did well today, and so did 'Murica.

I watched some of that hockey game. And I also watched some of the snowboarding cross. Lots of crashing... but jeez, it looks awesome fun!! :D

^ I felt so bad for Lindsey Jacobellis. She was so far ahead of every single person in the race and it all went away
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

My girl had to settle for silver...

But she still has all the world records though.

My official reaction to the scoring controversy

That's an exaggeration, but a landing like this shouldn't occur in a winning program, and it especially shouldn't occur in a program that's literally .11 points away from the world record:

I thought I'd celebrate the Closing Ceremony by chiseling my head into those mountains near Sochi, as I promised:

Of course, this image is fake because, in Soviet Russia, mountain chisels into you!
