Swimming

Do you feel that you are a competent swimmer?
Have you ever had swimming lessons?
Would you feel safe swimming in the ocean more than 100 metres from the shore?

Yes
I only need one more lesson for my bronze medallion.
Depending on the rifts/tides, maybe.

I can swim, just incredibly slowly. I haven't swam in waters deeper than 10 feet though. No lessons, either.

I am a terrible swimmer. Which makes me sad, because it seems like it would be great exercise to do regularly.

I swim... sometimes often, but other times not. I did do lessons when younger but I never went past my bronze medallion. And no, I do not have the fitness to swim out that far off shore... I'm taking into account especially if I was ordered to return to shore in a hurry!! ;) :D

Val finally learned to swim a couple years ago. He's an adequate swimmer, but not the guy you should trust to carry you to shore if the boat you're in sinks.

I'm a great swimmer. Knew how to since I was a young'un. Can keep afloat for many a minutes without feet touching the ground. Rough waters are a tad inconvenient but eh.

Fairly good swimmer, used to take lessons as a child. But I don't know about endurance...

I can swim well, though my treading water could use some work.

I remember having lessons when I was smaller.

I could swim 100 meters (333 feet in the U.S.) from shore if there were no deadly fish in the water.

Quick question based on Scarecrow and HotD's posts: is it common for Australians to receive bronze medallions for swimming a certain distance or taking a certain number of lessons or something?

I'm an okay swimmer. I can swim pretty well above water, but I suck underwater.

No, I never had lessons, I just sorta...learned.

And nah, I wouldn't swim far out into the ocean.
