March Madness 2014

It's time for the NCAA tournament! YAY!

So who do you have in your Final Four? Who do you have to win it all? Are you in a bracket pool? How sick of the word "bracketology" are you?

I personally have Michigan, Iowa St., Florida, and Arizona in my Final Four (in one bracket I have Oklahoma St. going all the way to the FF instead of AZ and MSU over Iowa St.). I have Michigan winning it all because I am a massive homer and I am unashamed of that fact.

It's my favorite thing to watch on TV all year. Let's get hype.

I didn't fill out an official bracket, but let's go ZONA!

I've had a running joke for about 4 years where I picked SDSU to win, so naturally I had to stick with that for one of mine now that they're a four seed. The others in the Final Four are Florida, Connecticut, and Wichita in that one. I also made one I just stole from FiveThiryEight to see how it does and one where it's Kansas, SDSU, Wichita, and Michigan St. with Wichita winning.

If this goes like it usually does, I'll be around the 95th percentile after the first 32 and finish somewhere around the 25th. >_>

I really don't see Wichita making it that far, to be honest. They haven't been tested the same way many of the other teams have, and their SOS is pitiful compared to the other number 1 seeds.

Also, I have a good friend of mine who is a huge SDSU fan - super bitter when Arizona beat them. I'll be interested if we see a rematch there. :)

^ Plus Wichita probably has the toughest road to the Final Four. Assuming they're not the first ever 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed, their road to the Final Four is likely Kentucky, Louisville, and the winner of the Michigan/Duke (given no upsets happen). Every one of those teams is gonna be dangerous.

^Yeah. It was like the bracketologists were purposefully making up for Witchita's weak SOS. I mean, if they can get through their region, then damn if they don't deserve it all.

You think you're a massive homer, Panfan? I'm taking it to the next level of homer-dom. My Final Four is all Big Ten: OSU, Wisconsin, MSU, Michigan. I have Michigan winning it all over MSU.

I think having OSU losing the first round to Dayton makes me more of a homer than putting them in the Final Four.

I'm a homer for the whole Conference. I even have Nebraska winning two games. I mean, what?

Just finished mine. My final four is Florida, Arizona, Iowa State, and Louisville with Louisville winning it all. No homer-ism anywhere, but I also haven't watched any college BB this year, so my bracket is probably lousy.

1/32 with Pitt, Wisconsin, and Harvard currently leading their games. I'm a happy camper.

I picked Cincinnati. Could be a close one.

Even though they haven't been very good lately, I'm pulling for 'Cuse. Luckily, they won today, and will face Dayton.

My sister's a SLU alum; she was pretty excited.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I told on of my coworkers that picking Duke to go very far (he picked them to win the whole thing) was just downright irresponsible. I didn't imagine them choking THAT bad, though.
