What's Your Favorite Exercising Activity

Post by Pyropunk » Tue May 20, 2014 5:31 pm

So, part of the reason I have been MIA is I have become obsessed with my health and exercising. What are some of your favorite ways to get your exercise into your life? I'm ok with running/jogging, but I absolutely love biking and recently started weightlifting a little bit (for definition/tone purpose only). Curious to see what your likes (and dislikes) are :)

Angrily walking to places because I have to walk to places. Really good exercise because rage burns calories.

My job is physically taxing. Sometimes I get up the gumption to spend an hour on the exercycle.

Sometimes I enjoy riding a bike. That's about all, though.

lol IRHP

I like walking, and my job is, like boo's but to a lesser extent, high-activity. When I was in school my exercise was running with my backpack to catch the bus several times per day ;)

Now that I'm not in school, mostly walking. Squeege and I looked into joining a dodgeball league, but didn't have money for the membership fees at the time. Oh well, maybe next season.

I definitely prefer organized sports (though not necessarily 'standard' ones re: dodgeball and I also had an ultimate frisbee class last semester) to walking/running/exercise bike. I'm not the greatest cyclist or swimmer, so~

Oh yeah, sometimes I'll beat the crap out of my friend's punching bag, if that counts. I don't use it long, it adds up to like 20 minutes in a day.

^ Frisbee with dogs is really fun.

re: cats
Come to think of it, my cats give me plenty of exercise when I'm staying with them. They run all over the house when it's bedtime...

HAH My cats play fetch... it's pretty rad. Well, I take that back. One cat plays fetch (literally, with a ball), the other one plays "Hey you throw that, and I'll go get it and hide it then come back and want you to find it for me, k?".

And any form of moving counts! If it's walking angrily at work, or sex (remember, at least 45 minutes of intense cardio, uh, movement) or organized sports. I'm excited to see so many of you participating in this topic :) Just keep the exercising up!

I ride my bike almost every day. I haven't lately because the weather has been bad and I've been sick but riding a couple of K's each day keeps me quite active. I also do sports but my main sport isn't very blood-pumping.

I love walking and scooting and I have a new bike (it came in pieces... a gift that needs to be put together). I also love Tai chi and will start my daily exercise program again soon. :D

My favorites are running on the elliptical, golfing, tennis, and the occasional swim.
