Sorry, man. I sort of perceive the Bills to be the Lions of the AFC in a lot of ways.
Did you know that next year's senior high school class will not have even been alive during the last Bills playoff game? Put that into perspective. I'd rather have 0-16. At least the Lions got Matthew Stafford out of it.
I guess to be fair about the whole drought, in the 15 years since Tom Brady took over the Dolphins only made the playoffs once and the Jets only went 5 times, so its basically just been that one damn team cock blocking the whole division. I for one am so sick of them running up 40+ points on the Bills twice a year for the last 15 years. RETIRE ALREADY DAMMIT.
And it still could have been worse. If they didn't let Houston in and realign the divisions I would have had to watch both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning beat the tar out of them twice a year. You'd be looking at three separate 15+ year droughts instead of the sad and lonely one I have to deal with every year.
One last fun fact. When the Bills miss it this year, their 17 year long playoff drought will be tied for 4th longest in NFL history. They'd need to make it to 25 to tie for #1. At this rate I would't bet against it. I'd almost be willing to bet Cleveland makes it first. Cleveland.

Well, hey, if it's any consolation, I wasn't even alive when the Lions won their last playoff game (1991), and we haven't ever won our division since the realignment.
Rooting for historically bad teams isn't easy, but that's why we do it. Stay strong, my man.

I do it because I live here. It's sort of an obligation. And the Bills haven't won playoff game since 1995 either. Not that I would remember it. The first game I remember watching growing up was an absolute travesty
. And that, my friend, is the last playoff game they were in. How'd you like that to be the last thing (only thing?) you remember of the playoffs for seventeen years. Blurgh.

Definitely some Chiefs & some Bears. Probably some Packers & Titans. And there's always some jerk who roots Pats.
Really, it mostly reset to how things were when I was little: Most football stuff around town is about Mizzou instead of any pro team. (Likewise, in basketball season, we tend to talk about SLU moreso than anyone in the NBA.)
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I get it, man. But hey, here's a video for you. This is Lions-centric, obviously, but I think the principles will transfer.
Obviously, with the Lions doing quite well this season, this may be empty comfort. But what I'm trying to say is this: stay strong, Auron.

I had him mentally placed more Southeast... weird.

Tannehill done for the season, possibly most of next season.

Lions are the No. 2 seed in the NFC with three games to go right now and somehow it's probably one of the least ideal outcomes that could've happened for them
basically every team that they needed to win to help clinch the division/playoffs lost. ugh.

Pretty sure the Packers are going to win the division and that makes me so **** angry

The parallels between Buffalo and Detroit are scary. You have Green Bay who wins the division every single year. We have New England who wins the division (and the AFC, and Superbowls....) every single (other) year.
At least you have the Red Wings. And the Tigers. And the Pistons...

That's interesting. The Lions almost played against the Bills
in Superbowl XXVI. Wouldn't that just be a spectacle nowadays. I bet the NFL would love
Also, according to the Bills
wikipedia pages, they've both had the same exact number of playoff appearances. Granted, the Lions are 26 years older and 4 of the Bills appearances were in the AFL. However, since the NFL-AFL merge in 1966, the Lions have made the playoffs only 11 times and the Bills have made it only 13 times. So all in all, still not very different. And you can (probably) chalk another one up this year. So make that 12 to 13.
I feel like a Bills fan, a Lions fan, and a Browns fan could all get into a sad off and there would be no winner (loser?). Well, maybe the Browns fan would be.

2004, dawg. (and 89-90 repeat.) Not sure what Glux is on about, other than the fact that they haven't been that great since '05.

Well, that championship was still more recent than the last Bills playoff game. So...
