Maybe if you refuse to shave, they'll respect your tenacity and hire you.

I think I am developing some slight nerve damage in the center section of my right ring finger from the awkward way I have to grip the Nintendo Switch. It's easily both the worst controlling and least comfortable device they've ever made, by far.

But that's sort of a special case, otherwise N64 controllers work just fine. Switch doesn't ever feel good.

Also, I'm now the #5 Chun Li in Ultra Street Fighter II (overall, not just U.S anymore). I can't stop playing this even though I haven't got very far in Mario Odyssey, BotW, or DBFZ...it's just so easy to slip into the game.

I can't imagine using the Switch joy cons to play a fighting game.

I've found that the Switch comfort grip is quite nice. Haven't had any problems with it.

Using the D-Pad in handheld mode has caused me some problems, though (thinking of Celeste, specifically). But as soon as I switch back to docked mode and comfort grip, it's totally fine.

Dunno where else to post this, but I just got my first sub-hour Celeste any% run. Feels good.

55:39, which would be good for 75th place on speedrun.com if I were taking a video. Might do a crappy Twitch phone-stream next time, just to get my time up somewhere official.

^^ I should've specified I was complaining about handheld mode, it isn't at all uncomfortable docked (well, unless you're using a single joycon, maybe).

Congrats on the Celeste run, how long is a normal play through?

A casual play through would be like 6-7 hours or so.

Wow, you cut it down quite a bit. Think you can shave it down any further, significantly? Or is it just like a minute or two, then seconds at this point?

^^WR actually just got lowered to 34:5x today, so that’s cool.

^An WR-contentious run is gonna have a death count in the 0-3 range, pretty much guaranteed.

My biggest time improvement would simply be limiting deaths—my death count is still over 80. If I can even get it down to 50 or less, I’ll cut my time to under 50 minutes, no problem.

i think the interview went well. pay isn't... great, but i'd get free movies and they reimburse for public transit (which is a HUGE perk for me)

^That public transit deal is nice. Hope it pans out.

sometimes the perks can almost make up for the pay--provided you can live off it, of course.

if you really like a job but you can't live off the pay you could always moonlight as a hitman or bitcoin accountant
