I was lucky enough to see Chuck play twice during his residency at Blueberry Hill. As recently as 2013, he could still play like he did 50 years ago. Rock in peace.

(Much like Bowie, Berry has a final album ready to come out this year.)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Rest In Piece, Chuck! The father of Rock, the originator. He was amazing and he was still (as Capt says) playing until very recently. He was also a pro-sex icon and important diplomat for the black community to the wider world. Never forget who he was and what he gave us!

Amazing how he could still play like that at his age.

Nah, he only retired from his residency in 2014, & he still played a few shows a year after that.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
