Re: Super Mario Party
im interested! looks like a more traditional mario party in terms of board mechanics. seems like they have interesting ideas for the minigames with the switch's unique functions but i'm wondering how it'll work docked, if at all.

Re: Super Mario Party
^ I doubt it personally - with all the mini-games and the like that seem to take advantage of there being multiple switch units, that'd be VERY hard to do online.
I will admit though - that's creative.

Re: Super Mario Party
I'm not sure how the traditional MP format can work online. What happens if someone gets disconnected? Maybe there's a game out there that succeeds, I wouldn't know.

Re: Super Mario Party
There is no reason to play Mario Party unless the players can hear each other taunt/scream/et cet.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Re: Super Mario Party
So, the game is out. General consensus is that it's a return to form for the series, though the board selection (there's only four of them) is pretty lackluster.
Haven't had the chance to play it myself though. Anyone else got it?

Re: Super Mario Party
I want to get it, but it feels hard to justify given that I live so far away from my Mario Party-loving friends now.

Re: Super Mario Party
Tempted to buy this, because it sounds great. But there’s a lot on the horizon I want to buy (Smash, FFVII, FFIX, Animal Crossing), I’m not sure this fits.

Re: Super Mario Party
We played it at my friend’s house a few times. I love it. Has the same feel as the old games and it’s just as fun. The new mini games are really solid. My only complaint is that you have to unlock all mini games to play one player mode, and one of the games is only for the partners game (which is a fun mode, actually) so that’s a little annoying but otherwise I love it.
