I was linked to this topic by another ex-VGF vet. A friend called me and told me the news.
I knew Knux since I was 9. I met him in the first months I was on VGF, back in 2000 (boy, this place has changed). We instantly became friends, and up until last week I was still talking to him over AIM. He was always a great friend through the years I knew him, and I'll truely miss him. I guess I'm sort of making this post out of sheer respect towards him. Thinking back on all the fun times we had together, I feel like I didn't talk to him enough in the past few months.

It's good to see some older members who ain't been here in a minute pay respects.

I salute you, Knuckles. Rest in peace, my friend.

I heard from Dylan on AIM. When Dyl asked if I heard about Knux, I thought "Oh, Knuxie wouldn't go out on us."
...I just really don't know what to say right now...

I heard from Laura last night. I didn't know Knux very well, but from what I heard, he was a fun loving, easygoing, and all around good man.
May he rest in peace.

All the old members come to pay their respects.
I also pay my respects.
And I think the Steve Irwin comment is very appropriate.

Ugh, god. Can't believe this is happening. I remember talking with Knux on AIM since, what, 2001? He was always really nice to talk to whenever we had conversations. I'll miss him. :/

The forum is a very nice gesture, Shane. It's appreciated.

I miss you, man. You were a great person and a great friend and words fail when they come to you.
I hope where ever you are, you're happy.

Woah, all these old members coming to say stuff. He was a really loved member.

Yes..my greatest regret is that I can't remember him well, but I'm still deeply moved, and crying.

I'm half expecting KK and Tubs to stop by and pay their respects.

I go to VGF to escape the real world. It's a wonderful place to be in, with wonderful people scattered across the world. At this time, I think perhaps I take it for granted that I can escape the real world.
Knux, if you ever want to return to VGF, if this was a terrible prank, we'd be glad to see you again.

Curt is having trouble with VGF. Server problems, he says. He wanted me to post his repects, too.
"Knux was one of the first online friends I've ever made, thanks to VGF. I may not like this place anymore, but putting this board up was an awesome gesture, and I thank you, Shane, for doing so. I would also like to thank all the friends I've made through VGF, as well as all my enemies. Without you guys, who knows what my life would have been like. And also, even though it may not seem like it, I would never wish anything like this to happen to any of you. Not even CodieKitty or Lurch.
Rest in Peace, Phil."

Hey, if someone can find them & tell 'em...

Neo, member about 9070 here. Lost my old account. Doesn't matter.
It wasn't right, and it wasn't fair and it was just plain wrong. We'd been in contact for some time now, a few years, even after I left VGF and stuff just happened. Knux was a great person and a great friend. Even if people hadn't known him as well as they thought they did, even if I hadn't known him as well as I thought I did. He still considered us good friends. We were good friends. We are.
