I'm really excited to play through Secret of Mana again but waaaaaaay more excited to legally play SD3. Hell yeah.

Nintendo's conference ruled. Easily the best of the show. Bummed Animal Crossing isn't until March but there's plenty of stuff to occupy my time.

Turbo-Grafx 16 Mini? Did somebody ask for that? At least it'll be better than Sony's. That was the one console I didn't own, so to me it would be something new.

Competition is a good thing. It's a chance to crush people.

I honestly can't believe they translated Seiken Densestu 3. The question now is, do I grab the collection today or wait for the remake? Hmmmm...

Play the original first so you can complain about the remake later, it's always the winning strat

I thought about it. I should get the collection. I never played Secret of Mana either.

I've only played Legend of Mana myself. Well, I've started SD3 a couple times but I always got stuck. Hmmmm.

My personal strat is to play the fan translation again first, THEN play the localization so I can complain about that, and THEN the remake so I can complain about THAT. You gotta go deeper X-3

Also ML I’m gonna need you to edit and update your SD3 party composition masterpost to fully reflect the updated mechanics within the week of the remake dropping, no pressure.

^It was already announced for PS4 and MS hasn't cancelled platforms for the other studios they've bought. RAD is even still being published by Namco, and they let Ninja Theory port Hellblade to Switch recently, so it doesn't seem like they're pushing exclusivity.

I was actually kind of surprised they announced a new console, because they've been acting like they're aiming to be a publisher more than a console maker recently. They've said that all their games will come to PC as well as Xbox and won't be exclusive to the Windows Store, they've announced some kind of partnership with both Nintendo and Sony, and they're going pretty hard on subscription services. I'm guessing their offerings on other consoles will be more limited than what they've done on PC so far, or there won't be much reason to buy an Xbox next gen.

Also, while I'm a big fan of Square's goal to bring their whole backcatalog to modern platforms, can we take a minute to appreciate how bizarre it is that The Last Remnant was not only one of the first, but even got an E3 trailer? That's a strong competitor for the most forgotten game they've made. Even assuming it's just the slightly improved PC version ported again and it didn't cost much, it's really weird to include that alongside FF8 and SD3.
