Scotty, I promise I’m not just picking this because it’s the first one I saw, but I say you should play Diddy Kong Racing. Try to go for all Silver Coin Challenges, too, they’re my favorite part of the game.

'Diddy Kong Racing' is excellent.

...I should replay that. Should replay lots of games, come to that.

@MeowMan

Ground Zeroes is like an hour long, so let's go with that since you're short on time.

All right! @Marilink! It's time to get up to speed with me and play Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It's certainly different from Luigi's Mansion but succeeds on its own merits. It's certainly a lot harder, so go nuts with it.

@Booyakasha

Kinda want to give you Final Fantasy XIII just to see what insane Boo is like, but you seemed excited enough about Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 and I'm feeling merciful, so try that one.

...I'll play 'DOA Extreme 2'. Might not win anything, nor get no cheevos, but I guess I'm willing to watch these extraordinarily beautiful ladies all stripped down to their skivvies, playing volleyball and stretching and lounging about all barefoot, yeah. Why not.
Spoiler.

Super Mario Odyssey sounds good!

@I REALLY HATE POKEMON! - How about Wild Arms? I've always been curious about that game, myself.

I've been meaning to finish it. I enjoyed what I played but just drifted away from it.

Heck yeah.

Tina was always the favourite. Think I'll play as her. She's a real good kid.

Like so what if she gets her clothes off, it's only everybody else doing the same. Innocent as a lark, I call it. It's a beach, man, have yourself some fun. Yeah.

...yeah.

Dark Moon gets off to a slow start, but once you hit that second mansion, the game really gets rolling. Heading to the third mansion now, I'm enjoying my time with this.

I started Diddy Kong Racing and was having major flashbacks. Like MAJOR 90's flashbacks, man. Oh boy, this took me down a trip through memory lane. I honestly don't think I picked this game up since like 1999 or something.

I just realized that the clock is named "T.T." When I was a kid, I kept hearing "Chi-chi".

I remember never getting into this game as a kid because I thought it wasn't as good or exciting as Mario Kart 64. I didn't really care about the characters. I must have gotten it as a gift or something. It was so long ago. But the memories that suddenly dredged up from the depths of my mind were crazy. Like I remember playing in my old living room and thinking about the game back then.

Not gonna lie---------I always felt like DKR was kind of the 'Banjo-Kazooie' to MK64's 'Super Mario 64'. You know, the much better, better-looking, hard-as-nails counterpart with the rad music.

None of my friends liked DKR, so it always took the backseat to MK64. My friends were ratbags and finks, man.

I beat Luigi’s Mansion 2!

Image

I won’t be 100%ing it, though, because HOLY CRAP there are a lot of things to find in this game.

Had a good time with it overall. I enjoyed the different mansions and the variety they brought to the table. Getting booted out to the bunker 5 times per mansion was kind of a bummer, though—I feel like the mission structure could have been better.

Fun game! Glad I finally got to it.

Victory!!

Zelda 1 was a good time, and I'm glad I got to run through it.

Oh, almost forgot to post a response.

^ Eh. I know what Dark Moon is going for: Short missions in mansions that change as you complete them, and if you just go straight through it's not really a problem. It's getting the gems and especially the Boos that makes it a pain as you basically have to play through an entire stage to get each one. I did it, and I overall like the game but there are some frustrating moments in it. Especially with Secret Mine because I f**king hate Secret Mine.

I only started at 4 today and took a significant break, but I'm done. Spec Ops is waaaaay shorter than I remembered it being. Clocked in just barely under 3 hours.

It's still good. I'll save most of my thoughts for the review thread, but it's pretty successful with most of what it set out to do.
