Did I say the Bills had the worst O-line in football? I meant to say that they have the worst team in football. 4 wins might be too many.

Amazingly, we have no member matchups this week. Refer to the Spreadsheet to review what your picks were for rooting purposes.

Try the link I posted earlier in the thread. I don't know if it will let you join as the season's already started; if it doesn't, let me know and I'll try to invite you myself.

Good news is if you forget to pick your weekly picks on Yahoo you have until the game starts to pick them. So I missed Thursdays game, but I still gotnto pick the other 15.

^Yeah, I was actually able to pick half of Sunday's games after I realized I missed the pick-'em.

I got all of them wrong anyway, but you know,I at least got to pick

They have no talent on offense. Worst offensive line in the league. Worst receiving core in the league. So they spent all of their salary cap in free agency bringing in defensive players. They spent all of their high picks (except for Allen) on defensive players the last two years. They have a defensive head coach. They are scoring 1.5 points per quarter so far (6 per game). They are giving up 12.5 points per quarter (50 per game).

I hate my life.

So it got slightly better by the end of the game, but it was still awful.

And then there's our supposed number 2 cornerback retiring during the game.

I think that after a little while in the NFL you have to acknowledge that you aren't playing college ball anymore. You are out there with the best of the best in the world. Getting hit by guys that are 280-320 pounds who can pull insane weight in the gym isn't nearly as fun when you are injured and can't be that opposing force that you used to be. Injuries can be mentally exhausting too.

You come back with that sense of what if. I wouldn't even blame someone for walking out halfway through the game. Everyone acts like this is unprecedented but at the end of the day, it's still a job.

If you have your health in your best interest, you're looking around and feel like the game has moved past you then you're smarter than most of the guys out there for bowing out. It's professional football there are guys out there who are messed up for life. Just for playing a game. Also, let's face it, it's the bills.

Look at David Wright. I don't have David Wright injuries but my back has been injured before. That guy has got the determination to keep himself in the game much longer than he should have been and I commend him for his effort but he is going to be in pain for the rest of his life. No. Question. He just loves the game so much he doesn't want to stop even if it's just for The Mets.

Is the money worth sticking around and potentially facing debilitating injury? Is the love of the game strong enough that you're willing to risk your body?

Whether you're in it for the cash or the game itself...I couldn't justify playing injured if I saw people greatly outperforming me.

The good news is that next week the Lions will lose to the Patriots, so none of us will be at 0% anymore.

I counted the Vikings-Packers tie as .5 of a win, hence HotD having 75% right now. Maybe not the best way to handle the situation, but this system doesn't really allow for a system of picking ties, so I chose to be generous.

MATCHUPS THIS WEEK
Dylan (Dolphins) vs. March (Raiders) - BOTH picked THEIR OWN team to WIN
Auron (Bills) vs. HotD (Vikings) - BOTH picked THEIR OWN team to LOSE

17 point underdogs win by 21 points. Just like we all predicted.

I should have put money on this game, but I thought they were going to lose by 30.
