I'm definitely going for Germany because they've been far more fun to watch and have more players I like, but I'll at least be happy for Messi if Argentina wins it.

That match with Brazil was great. I tuned in at the start of the second half after apartment hunting all afternoon, score was 5-0 I was all IS THIS REAL LIFE

I am slightly disappointed that there is no Dutchies vs Deutschies but I'll live.

I'm all for Germany. (But would still like to see Argentina beat Germany.)

Now it's only 2-0 against Brazil at halftime! Improvement!

The first one was at 2' off a penalty. That's actually lucky for Brazil, because Thiago Silva should've been given a red for the foul.

They had decent chances on a few free kicks after letting up the second one, so there's at least a chance this'll still be competitive.

Brazil 0-3 Netherlands

That's 1-10 over two games.

Belgium could have easily won against Brazil.

Germany 1-0 Argentina

Despite the best efforts of everyone on both sides to kill Schweinsteiger, Germany comes through with an extra time goal from, of all people, Mario Goetze to win their first World Cup in 24 years.

Boo. Germany sucks. I mean, they played well and won but they'll always be my least favorite team in international soccer.
